Bank of China
Bank of China is one of China’s largest and oldest banks, with international operations spanning more than 50 countries. Founded in 1912 and headquartered in Beijing, it provides a broad range of services including retail and corporate banking, trade finance, investment banking, and insurance. The bank plays a critical role in facilitating China’s global trade and cross-border investment activity, particularly through its offshore RMB clearing services. It is one of the “Big Four” state-owned commercial banks and has deep ties to China’s financial system and economic policy framework.
