Zopa is a UK-based digital bank founded in 2005 that began life as a peer-to-peer lending platform. It now focuses on retail banking, offering savings accounts, personal loans, credit cards, point-of-sale options, and recently launched a current account. Zopa gained its full banking licence in 2020, closed its P2P lending operations in 2021, and has since built a customer base of over a million people with strong profitability.
